Oak Forest - The Real Deal
Neighborhood Watch

BE A PART OF NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH!

Join the e-mail list for Oak Forest Neighborhood Watch alerts, news, safety info, etc. Please do so by sending me an e-mail with your full name and ward number you live in. If you know anyone else who would like to be added to the list, please have them send me an e-mail also.
The purpose of this e-mail list is, first and foremost, to notify the Oak Forest residents of any criminal activity that is happening or has happened in our neighborhoods. This works by everyone participating in passing the information on to let as many people know for what to keep a lookout. Five of the seven wards in Oak Forest are now participating in the neighborhood watch program.
Not only will you receive information, but you can contribute as well. When an incident happens, call 911 first. Then as soon as you have the opportunity, send me an e-mail regarding the incident. I will forward it to all persons on the watch e-mail list. The information given should always include date of incident, approximate time, street location (example: 159th & Cicero), description of perpetrator(s), and explanation of what happened (the more detail the better). If anyone needs a follow-up to any incident, Sgt. Richard Beatty of the Oak Forest Police Department is always willing to provide any information that he is allowed to at that time.
With the efforts of the Oak Forest residents and the police department working together to keep our city safe, we CAN make a difference.
Joining the e-mail list is as easy as it gets to be part of the Oak Forest Neighborhood Watch program. The more people who get involved, the more effective the program becomes. Please do your part in making our community a safer place to live.
